2023

Our latest paper on the contribution of nucleoside transporters and ABCB1, ABCG2, and ABCC2 to the placental kinetics of entecavir is now out! In this study we used several experimental approaches including models derived from the human placenta (MVM vesicles and fresh villous fragments) and the rat placenta (in situ dual perfusion studies). Find out more here: Assessment of the role of nucleoside transporters, P-glycoprotein, breast cancer resistance protein, and multidrug resistance-associated protein 2 in the placental transport of entecavir using in vitro, ex vivo, and in situ methods

Super excited that the 4EU+ Alliance and Univerzita Karlova have decided to support our application for a research collaboration network that will leverage the expertise of European research units at University of Copenhagen and University of Geneva in placental (patho)physiology, reproductive sciences, and computational biology.

What a way to start 2023 👍 Our paper on placenta perfusion as a preclinical model to investigate placental dopamine and norepinephrine transport got published on Jan 4 😀 Read more here: Perfused rat term placenta as a preclinical model to investigate placental dopamine and norepinephrine transport

We are happy to hear that The Czech Science Foundation has decided to support our research and approved our grant application - this time on “Cannabis use in pregnancy; effects on endocrine and immune functions of the placenta (GACR 23-07094S)”.
