Current position: Associate Professor of Chemistry, Lead of the Peptide Synthesis Laboratory at the Department of Chemistry, Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland (RCSI) University of Medicine and Health Sciences, RCSI and Erasmus Officer, Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences RCSI.
Expertise: Research interests include the synthesis, modification and labelling of peptides, in particular Antimicrobial Peptides, used as research tools, lead discovery, in biomaterials, biomolecule-peptide and polymer-peptide conjugates, for the generation of delivery systems and/or of prodrugs, as well as the synthesis of novel peptidomimetics.
