Charles University, Faculty of Pharmacy in Hradec Králové, represented by the Dean of the Faculty, announces an open competition according to the Act No. 111/1998 Coll., on Higher Education Institutions
for the project The project Advanced Techniques for Biomedical Diagnostics (ATEBIO),
Project No.: CZ.02.01.01/00/23_020/0008535,
within the Operation Programme Johannes Amos Comenius (OP JAC), P 1: Research and Development, SO 1.1: Developing and enhancing research and innovation capacities and deploying advanced technologies,
to fill the research position:
FaF_VZ2_15: PhD Student, 0.4 FTE (40 %),
Place of work: Hradec Králové
Responsibilities:
- Independent experimental research activity in the relevant field, especially within the framework of VZ2/WP2 (research activities 3 and 4).
- Involvement in work for WP2 in a young scientific team focused on the development of advanced techniques for biomedical diagnostics.
- Implementation of modern and miniaturized approaches to sample preparation to concentrate analytes and eliminate the influence of the matrix of complex samples.
- The development of efficient chromatographic methods in connection with modern treatment of complex matrix samples.
- Processing of obtained data and their interpretation.
- Involvement in the preparation of publication and application outputs, presentation and publication of the achieved results on an international level.
- The possibility of involvement in the preparation of subsequent national and international projects.
- Participation in key project activities with an emphasis on application potential.
Profile:
- Education in pharmacy, bioanalytical chemistry, or related fields.
- Experience with the development and optimization of modern methods of processing complex matrix samples, work with high-performance liquid chromatography.
- Scientific and publication activity in the field of analytical chemistry or related fields is an advantage.
- Publication activity, letter of recommendation from 2 experts in the field, grant activity, active knowledge of the English language is an advantage.

The estimated monthly wage: 35 000 CZK (1.0 FTE)
The start of work: 1 January 2025, or can be negotiated
Type of employment contract: for 1-3 years, with the expectation that the contract will be extended until 31 December 2028.
Employment: part-time (0.4 FTE).
