Presentations and posters

Official language of the conference, used for both oral and poster presentations, is English. Czech or Slovak will be accepted only for oral presentations of BSc/MSc students (however, their slides should be in English, anyway).

Oral presentations

The length of the regular talks is 15 minutes (10 minutes for the oral presentation and 5 minutes for discussion).  Our invited speakers will present an invited talk which is 30 minutes long (25 minutes plus 5 minutes for discussion). Presentations will be accepted in .ppt, .pptx or .pdf format.

Please, upload your presentation (with the cooperation of the session chairman) before the start of your session.

Poster presentations

The posters should be in a portrait format with a maximum size A0 85x120.

Pushpins will be provided. English should be used on posters. Presenters are also asked to prepare one slide (.ppt, .pptx or .pdf) for the poster pitch presentation (a 2-minute talk).

• The posters should be prepared by using sufficiently large fonts for the text. Each poster is required to contain the title of the abstract and the name(s) of the author(s).
• Your slide can have animations (adding but not replacing elements), even movies. Questions will be at the poster session, not in the conference session.

Student competition

All students’ oral presentations will be assessed by a committee for the Best Student Presentation Awards. Prizes will be awarded for the following categories:

• Best Undergraduate Oral Presentation
• Best Graduate Oral Presentation
• Best Student Poster Presentation

The gifts and awards will be kindly provided by the conference partners/sponsors. Evaluation criteria include content, delivery, and organization of the presentation.
