Research focus
Since 2012 synthesis of DNA Minor Groove Binding compounds (MGB) and their conjugates with synthetic oligonucleotides.
Since 1999 synthesis of potential photodynamic compounds as well as fluorescence quenching compounds based on structure of phthalocyanines and their aza-analogues. Preparation of conjugates of these molecules with synthetic oligonucleotides.
1985-1998 synthesis of heterocyclic compounds, mainly pyridine derivatives with antimycobacterial, antifungal and photosynthesis-inhibiting effects.
Since 1998 research in area of modifications and chemical labelling of synthetic oligonucleotides.
