  • Purification and characterization of membrane bound carbonyl reducing enzymes from human tissues
  • Cloning and characterization of human carbonyl reducing enzymes
    • Cloning and characterization of membrane-bound carbonyl reducing enzymes
    • Cloning and further characterization of cytosolic carbonyl reducing enzymes
  • Regulation of expression of human carbonyl reducing enzymes
  • Drug metabolism, identification of metabolites and enzymes involved

Teaching

General Biochemistry
Xenobiochemistry

  • since 2012: mentor of five post-doctoral research associates
  • since 1999: tutor of 18 Ph.D. students (13 already successfully finished); Head of the Examination Board of Ph.D. program Pathobiochemistry and Xenobiochemistry, and member of the Examination Board of Ph.D. program Bioanalytical Chemistry
  • since 2000: supervisor of 16 M.Sc. Pharmacy diploma theses of international ERASMUS students
  • since 1995: supervisor of 60+ M.Sc. (Pharmacy and Medical Bioanalytics) diploma theses
