Scope

The two main goals of the workshop are:

(1) to disseminate information into the community of scientists working in pharmaceutical research (in particular pharmacologists, clinical and social pharmacists, including PhD students) concerning the existence of novel mathematical models useful for their research area,

(2) to inform mathematicians about the rich variety of mathematical problems arising in pharmacy-related scientific fields.

The topics of the workshop include, but are not restricted to,

  • Pharmaco-kinetic/pharmaco-dynamic in silico modeling
  • Systems of ordinary, partial and mixed differential equations arising in biomedical modeling
  • Parameter estimation, inverse problems and regularization
  • Molecular docking
  • Model validation and verification
  • High performance computing
  • Pharmacometrics, computational pharmacy
  • Optimization, preconditioning, Krylov subspace methods
  • Systems pharmacology, mathematical biology
  • Biostatistics, bioinformatics
