for the project New Technologies for Translational Research in Pharmaceutical Sciences /NETPHARM,
Project No.: CZ.02.01.01/00/22_008/0004607,

within the Operation Programme Johannes Amos Commenius (OP JAK), P 1: Research and Development, SO 1.1: Developing and enhancing research and innovation capacities and deploying advanced technologies,

to fill research position:

FaF_VZ2_43: Researcher (senior, Assoc. Prof.), úvazek 0,2 FTE (20 %)

Design and execution of experiments for WP2, publication of results

Place of work: Hradec Králové

Responsibilities:

• Performs experimental research activity in the relevant field, supervises the research activity of the team's experts, immediately escalates identified risks to a superior position,
• design and execution of experiments for WP2, publication of results,
• implementation and/or validation of in vitro DDI-testing assays for drug transporters and biotransformation enzymes,
• screening of DDI potential for novel drug or novel drugs candidates using validated methods (in cooperation with WP1),
• In vitro drug combination assays with drugs inhibiting transporters/enzymes in cellular models,
• ex vivo drug combination assays with drugs inhibiting transporters/enzymes using patient-derived explants,
• omics analysis of resistance-related pathways following exposure to examined drug combinations,
• bioinformatic analysis evaluating the impact of pathways affected by drug combination for the prognosis of pharmacoresistant patients,
• further experimental work in the laboratory, dealing with specific scientific and research tasks,
• statistical data evaluation, planning experiments, working with data,
• presentation and publication of results on an international level,
• involvement in the preparation of related national and international projects,
• working on key project activities with emphasis on application potential.

Profile:

• A researcher who is more than 7 years beyond the award of his/her academic Ph.D. or its equivalent (ISCED level 8 equivalent)*,

• completed university doctoral studies (Ph.D. degree) in a field of natural, pharmaceutical and medical sciences at a university in the Czech Republic or achieved a comparable degree at a foreign university, no later than on the date of commencement of employment,
• senior researcher H-index ≥ 8, publications in major journals with IF, grant activity, active knowledge of English language (proficiency in spoken and written English),
• scientific and publication activity in a field of pharmacology, xenobiochemistry, toxicology or related fields,
• previous experience with molecular-biological techniques and cell lines is an advantage.

The estimated monthly wage: 75 000 Kč (1,0 FTE)

Type of employment contract: for a definite period of the project duration, ie until 29 February 2028.
