Research focus
- Interactions of natural compounds with biogenic metals
- In vitro screening of novel iron/copper/zinc/cobalt chelators (comparison of chelating activity at different pHs, assessment of the abilities of these compounds to inhibit Fenton chemistry leading to highly reactive oxygen species and tissue derangement)
Education
- 2014-2019: Charles University, Faculty of Pharmacy, (Master degree), Thesis: Interactions of tamarixetin and isorhamnetin with copper.
- from 2019: a postgraduate study at Charles University, Faculty of Pharmacy, Department of Pharmacognosy and Pharmaceutical Botany in the study programme: Pharmacognosy and Nutraceuticals. Doctoral Thesis theme: Interactions of natural phenolic compounds with biogenic metals.
Employment
- from 2022: Charles University, Faculty of Pharmacy in Hradec Králové, Department of Pharmacognosy and Pharmaceutical Botany
Teaching activities
- Pharmacognosy (practicals)
Research fellowships
- 2021 research fellowship at the Department of Pharmacology, University of Pécs (3 months)
