Simča has been very successful over the past few months which led to another travel grant! This time she traveled to Bern, Switzerland where she presented her work at the "NCCR Transcure Final Conference".

ITTS Conference
In June, we attended the "2nd International Transmembrane Transporter Society Meeting: Catching Transport In Motion" in Copenhagen, Denmark where Simona and Fahda presented their posters. Moreover, Simona was lucky enough to win a travel grant!
3rd place at the supranational round of Student Scientific Conference
Karolína Nálevková, our diploma student, recently attended the supranational round of Student Scientific Conference organized by Zentiva alongside other Czech and Slovak pharmacy students. Winners and runner-ups of national rounds met in Prague and presented their research. We are pleased to say that Karolína won the 3rd place in biological section with her presentation entitled: "Interindividual variability in expression of selected membrane transporters; their impact on prognosis and therapy of patients with acute myeloid leukemia".
Paper published
Our work on "ABCB1 as a potential beneficial target of midostaurin in acute myeloid leukemia" got published in Biomedicine & Pharmacotherapy journal (IF 7.419). Full version can be found here.
1st place at the XXIX. Student Scientific Conference
In April, our diploma students attended XXIX. Student Scientific Conference held by our faculty every year. Karolína Nálevková, one of our students, won the 1st place in biological section with her oral presentation on: "Interindividual variability in expression of selected membrane transporters; their impact on prognosis and therapy of patients with acute myeloid leukemia". She will present her work at a supranational round of the competition next month.
