Basketball beginners
It is a collective sport with a long tradition. Great popularity is mainly in the USA. The goal of the game is to score the ball into the opponent's basket and prevent the ball from entering the basket. Typical basketball skills include dribbling, shooting, passing, rebounding, and defense. Game skills are alternated by pauses during game interruption or rotation. Typical for basketball is fluctuates load intensity.
Syllabus:
Long-term teaching will be focused on learning:
Individual basic basketball skills:
- Dribbling
- Passing
- Shooting- stationary shooting, shooting on the move
- Rebounding
- Defense – footwork, basic tips
Team basic basketball combinations:
- Give and go
- Screen – on ball, without ball
- Defense – principle of man to man defense
- Team cooperation
Rules of basketball
Development of the physical condition
Acquiring social interactive relationships of the team sport.
Organization of the particular training:
Preliminary part:
5´ attendance, introducing with content of the training, etc.
10’ warm- up, stretching, dynamic stretching, short running games
Preparatory part:
20´ learning individual basketballs skills, easy small side game
Main part:
20’ team combinations, game
Closing part:
5´ calming down, stretching
